Terms of Service (Professionals)
Legal Terms for Advocates, Attorneys, Mediators, Social Workers, and Forensic Experts utilizing the Family Anchor Platform.
1. Role & Relationship
These Professional Terms apply to any individual or entity using a Professional Account on Family Anchor. By using the Platform, you certify that you are a qualified professional (e.g., registered with the Legal Practice Council, SAVC, or relevant professional body in South Africa) and are authorized by your client to view their parenting data.
2. Permitted Use
Professionals may use the platform to:
- Review objective co-parenting records and compliance metrics.
- Download court-admissible PDF reports for legal files.
- Monitor adherence to Parenting Plan Agreements.
- Facilitate mediation or settlement discussions based on verifiable data.
3. Confidentiality & Ethics
As a professional, you are bound by your own professional code of ethics. Family Anchor is a tool to assist your practice; however, you remain responsible for the interpretation and presentation of any data extracted from the Platform.
You agree to maintain the strict confidentiality of all family data accessed via the Platform. Metadata or reports downloaded from Family Anchor must be handled in compliance with POPIA and any professional privilege standards.
4. Access Controls
Professional access is granted and may be revoked by the Parent users at any time. You acknowledge that you have no independent right to access a client's data without their active authorization on the Platform.
5. Evidentiary Use
While Family Anchor reports are structured to be court-admissible, you as the practitioner are responsible for verifying the underlying authenticity of receipts or logs if contested. The Platform provides the audit trail, but the professional provides the legal context.
6. Liability Exclusion
Family Anchor shall not be liable for any professional negligence, missed court deadlines, or legal outcomes resulting from your reliance on Platform data. We provide the infrastructure; you provide the professional service.
7. Governing Law
These Professional Terms are governed by South African law. Any disputes shall be adjudicated within the Gauteng Division of the High Court or the jurisdiction relevant to our registered office.
