Acceptable Use Policy.

Family Anchor is a tool for harmony, not a weapon for conflict. This policy outlines the standards of behavior required to maintain index integrity and a peaceful co-parenting environment.

The Golden Rule

"Use the Platform in the best interest of your children. Communicate with your co-parent as you would in a professional workplace."

1. Prohibited Behaviors

To ensure the safety and integrity of the Platform, you are strictly prohibited from:

Messaging harassment (insults, threats, or excessive spamming).
Fraudulent data entry (intentionally fake receipts or dates).
Attempting to impersonate the other parent or a professional.
Circumventing built-in locks or security protocols.
Uploading illegal or non-consensual content of minors.
Using the Platform to track the real-time location of a co-parent without consent.

2. Professional Communication

The messaging module is designed for co-parenting logistics. You agree to:

  • Keep messaging focused on the children's needs and administrative matters.
  • Avoid using the Platform for venting personal grievances or discussing unrelated adult matters.
  • Use the categorized threading system correctly (e.g., medical talk stays in Medical).

3. System Abuse

You may not use the Platform for any purpose that causes excessive load on our infrastructure or attempts to scrape data. This includes the use of automated bots or scripts to interact with Family Anchor.

4. Violations & Enforcement

Strict Enforcement

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate this policy. In cases of severe harassment or fraud, we may provide access logs to South African law enforcement or your legal representatives as required by law.

5. Reporting Misuse

If you believe the other parent or a village member is abusing the Platform in a way that violates this policy, please use the Report Feature within the app or contact support@familyanchor.co.za.
